Shawn Coffill of Campbell River, British Columbia, who brought the full potential out of a mighty XS, building a muscular, even brutal XS1100 cafe racer. While working in a CNC shop, Shawn manufactured many pieces of the bike, including a top triple, motor mounts, headlights, and even velocity stacks. This cafe racer is a Yamaha XS1100 1979 better known as “eleven”. To be honest I’m not really a fan of these big Japanese 4-cylinder engines. So I decided this would be a build that was more about achieving a new look for this vanilla looking bike. This is my recently finished, fully restored Yamaha XS1100 custom cafe racer named “il Corvino”, Italian for the Raven. Licari Co. is my last name, my great grandfather emigrated to the US from Italy before the First World War. He was a craftsman, a carpenter, and a man who built and designed many things with his hands.
